Quenby arranges entertainers to visit the home at regular intervals in a month. Activities are not restricted to be provided only by the activities coordinator but in fact all staff promote participate and encourage activities for residents within the home. There is a selection of games, memorabilia, and equipment specifically suited to people with sight and hearing impairments. Quenby also has a dedicated ‘Crafts room’ for residents including a internet ready personal computer for web-savvy residents!
Quenby already provides a selection of reminiscence sessions, quizzes, news-sheets and games that provide mental stimulation and help to retain short-term memory. The home hosts a variety of events, including fund-raising events for local charity groups, on a regular basis that allows residents to remain involved with the local community. Quenby organise regular excursions and support independent outings if required. |
